Mardis Gras 2016

I had the absolute pleasure of attending my first ever Mardi Gras in Sydney a few weeks ago. I've never been one for prejudice over the choices people make or how people are and I was astonished at how the atmosphere of the whole event made me feel. The entire parade was overjoyed at the thought of simply being supported no matter what and they welcomed it with open arms. Just before the parade started I met a lovely Scottish woman, named Irene and throughout the evening we talked about all manner of things but most of all, I appreciate that she would basically shove people out of the way with her umbrella to ensure she could see!
